Morris Dancing Is Rubbish

In reference to this article on the BBC website, I would like to offer an obvious response to Charlie Corcoran (Bagman of the Morris Ring).

The reason that “young people are just too embarrassed to take part” is that Morris dancing is SHIT.

SHIT things are supposed to be consigned to the history books.

“Once we’ve lost this part of our culture, it will be almost impossible to revive it".

Yes, it’d be pretty hard to revive slavery in Britain as well, and I’m thankful for that, frankly. Because slavery is a SHIT thing.

Is this why Tuberculosis has come back? Was it some bastard complaining about the fact that young kids “just don’t get it anymore"?

I can’t believe I’ve risen to this.

Not dead, just thirty.

A number of people have recently commented on my lack of bloggage, some with a faint air of genuine concern.

I have turned thirty and thus I no longer have anything of consequence to say. In the absence of a shift to the Daily Mail, seen in many aging Englishmen, I find my opinions merely watered down tripe, rendered moot by my insecurity and lack of rebellious verve.

I no longer hate anything. I shall sit here in my slippers pondering the fact that 1993 still seems recent and that I can’t believe it’s really been 18 years since the fall of Thatcher.

Do not weep for me. I am happy. John Lewis is now my favourite shop. I am disproportionately excited about my new Le Creuset flan dish. Join me on this magical journey.

Actually I do still hate Clarkson, he’s a cunt.

The wrong George?

I noticed the Sunday Mirror - please note I didn’t actually BUY it -displaying the following photo, with the headline “George Michael On Crack”

Surely a more appropriate (and interesting) headline would be ‘George Best rises from dead’?
